2005 Branich Season Opener Lost to Rain; “Racing for Kids” and Sponsor Appearance Next Up
Williamson, NY - The 2005 on-track season for Branich Motorsports is now underway, and with the support of our families, sponsors and friends, we expect another enjoyable and successful season. Jan Leaty is back at the wheel of the team’s tour modified, competing on the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Tour for the series championship. The ROC “North” tour was supposed to start out at Lake Erie Speedway as part of the Spring Thaw weekend. Unfortunately, an extended stretch of cold, rainy weather forced cancellation of the entire weekend event. The team is now gearing up for the next ROC tour race at Oswego on Memorial Day weekend. There is no work on whether or not the race weekend will be rescheduled.

Pace Electronics returns as the team’s primary sponsor for the season. We are deeply indebted to Pat and Karen Kehoe for their gracious support. Most recently, Pace recognized the Branich Motorsports racing and public service efforts (“Racing for Kids”) on a new page on the Pace corporate website! Heluva Good Foods returned as a major sponsor for our modified effort. Parts Plus/Mr. Auto, Wayne Regional Orthopaedics, and Davie, Kaplan, Chapman and Braverman are back as associate sponsors. A long list of product support sponsors also supports the team effort.

Lyons National Bank will continue their sponsorship of our “Racing for Kids” program in 2005. The team will travel to North Rose (NY) Elementary School on May 5 in support of the Racing for Kids program. Team members will join in the fun at a Family Math Night, trying out their mathematic skills at several challenge stations.

The team modified will also be on display on behalf of Lyons National Bank on Friday, May 27th, at the Ontario branch location at the Topp’s Plaza off Route 104 in Ontario. Leaty and the team will be on site from 11 AM to 2 PM.
